If you’ve been thinking about getting some professional portraits done but are unsure about the process of going about it, have a look at our steps to get started below.

Enquiry

Drop us a message with your enquiry. You can do this on our website or through WhatsApp and we will be in touch to discuss your needs and suggest the relevant package. 

We use the term headshots loosely at our studio. While it officially means a close-up photograph, our session usually involves taking a variety of photos including half body or full body images if needed.

We also understand that different industries have different expectations when it comes to presenting oneself and we have various styles to choose from – whether it’s something that’s more formal or casual. Let us know your preferences, and we can discuss the best setup.

Booking

Once you’re ready to confirm, let us know your preferred date, time and location. Our studio is in Oval Damansara, TTDI but we can also do the shoot at the location of your choice such as your own office, a co-working space or even outdoors.

We will send over our booking documents which consist of an invoice and a contract. As part of our procedure, we do require full payment and signing of our contract to confirm. 

The booking documents will also include a questionnaire. This is to help us understand you better – your role, your industry and your brand personality amongst others. We can then capture images that resonate best with your needs.

Pre Shoot Guide & Consultation

Once you have confirmed your shoot, it’s time to get into the details – what do you wear, what kind of set up and style do you prefer for the shoot? We will send you a pre-shoot guide and have also written several articles to assist you with these questions.

If you’re on the fence, we also highly recommend adding on a professional hair and makeup session. This add on is available and the session will take 1 hour for women and 30 min for men prior to the photoshoot time. 

Prior to the shoot, feel free to send us references, or chat with our team about any questions you might have. We want to ensure you feel comfortable and confident before you even walk through our doors.

Day of Shoot

On the day of the shoot, do arrive 15 min prior to the scheduled time. It’s advisable to arrive in the outfit you will wear for the shoot but if you’re still undecided, you are welcome to bring options to discuss with the photographer. Depending on the session booked, you can also have 1-2 outfit changes. 

If you’re planning to use props in your shoot, some examples that you can bring along are your laptop, books, company branded items, awards etc.

Don’t worry about posing, as our experienced photographers will guide you on this to achieve the best results. However, it’s a good idea to practise your smile before the shoot! 

Be yourself and enjoy the process. We want you to feel as relaxed as possible, so we can even play your favourite playlist in our studio during your session. Our aim is to get natural images that feel authentic to you. 

After the session, you will be requested to select your photos based on your package. Our team will then edit the photos. Our post-production editing process includes colour correction, skin retouching and flyaway hair.

Your photos will be ready in 5 working days and sent to you via a download link. If you need your images urgently, we do have an option for speed editing, and you can get your images within 1-2 working days.
