In 2025, a group of female entrepreneurs came together with a shared question on our hearts: how can we better support women-led businesses? Beyond strategies and sales, what do women truly need to thrive?

Through many honest conversations over coffee and kuih, one truth kept surfacing. Women entrepreneurs are resilient, capable, and driven, yet many are tired, stretched, and carrying far more than what is visible. From these conversations, the idea for Being One was born.

Being One is not just an event. It is a space created to support women in three deeply connected areas: mental health, fitness, and business growth. Through leadership talks, mini workshops, and mentoring circles, we hope to spark meaningful conversations, share practical strategies, and encourage holistic ways of caring for ourselves while building our businesses.

The word “One” reflects the spirit we want to cultivate: optimistic, nurturing, and energized.

This year also marks a personal milestone for me. Stories Sdn Bhd turns 18. Entrepreneurship is a tough journey. When I first started out in business as a solopreneur, I didn’t realise how lonely it can be. Even though I hired staff, the mental and emotional load of running a business felt like it was only mine to carry. I faced fatigue from making decisions, thinking about how to increase sales, how to motivate my team, how to serve our clients better, how to renovate the studio space so it looks better… the list went on and on. I also had to battle fears when times were tough. The stress that comes from running a business can be crippling.

So, is it still worth it?

18 years on, I am still saying yes.

What sustains me is my sense of purpose, the people I work with, and the clients we serve. And truthfully, I know I would not have made it this far without my faith in God and the community that has supported me along the way.

Creating Being One is our way of offering that same support to other women entrepreneurs. The event will take place on 10 and 11 April at Worq, Bandar Utama. It takes courage to put yourself out there, to build a brand, to lead a business, and to keep going even when it feels hard.

Through Being One, we want women to know that they do not have to choose between ambition and well-being. They can care for their minds and bodies while learning, growing, and pursuing their dreams.

If you believe in a world where women are supported to embrace their potential, nurture their well-being, and define success on their own terms, we invite you to be part of this movement. You can support Being One through sponsorship, by nominating a speaker or mentor, or by volunteering your time. In big or small ways, together we can make a difference.
